[Nightmare]Undead and Dwarf need some starting help

#1 Post by jinsediaoying »

Under Normal mode, this is not a issue, but under Nightmare and Insane mode, Undead and Dwarf's starting dungeon are too hard to fight through.
For real, under Nightmare and Insane mode, the hardest thing in the entire game is to get to level 4.
For now, there is ZERO possibility for a Dwarf or Undead warrior(those who don't have range talents) get out there first Dungeon under Nightmare or higher, and I don't think this is intentional. Actually all the warriors have a hard time to get to level 4.
so, suggestions:
1, nerf the level of the first Dungeons under Nightmare and Insane, make it close to Normal mode difficulity (they are both Insane difficulity right now)
2, make Undead start with offensive rune, and Dwarf start with poison infusion
3, remove the rares from the first Dungeon

For Dwarves - next release, Brotoq will be nerfed again, thus he should be significantly easier.

Are you trying to kill the bosses in these dungeons? Cause they can both be skipped, and rightly should be if you don't feel confident about beating them.

Have you tried either on insane?

Both bosses can be skipped, and everyone playing insane probably knows that. Bosses are not the issue, rares are. I was playing skeleton alchemist on nightmare, and rares killed off 19/20 attempts. Insane is even worse, and I would bet impossible with a melee char.

Not the boss issue, it is the normal monster issue.
Just go and try a dwarf or undead warrior under Nightmare or Insane, and then you will know what I'm talking about.
Unlike mages, warriors lack accurcy and damage at low level, which cause warriors have a very hard time at low level (under level 4).
If you can achieve level 4, you can have level 2 weapon mastery and accurcy, which makes fight way more easier.
The main difficulity of Undead ruins is that it is so hard to defeat a level 13 skeleton with a level 1 warrior.
The main difficulity of Dwarf is the orc crowd, they come in 5, 4 warrior + 1 Wymic, even with the help from the Dwarf companion, they are so hard to defeat.
You have to know, under Nightmare or Insane, the first monster you face will generally around level 12, with 200+ life
