Wow, jenx, how did your brawler end up with -1096 life? Was Aeryn much help? Did she even survive?
The final bosses do seem to hit harder than they used to. When I fought 'em in b43, they both ganged up on Aeryn and she actually died pretty quickly. She's not the tank she used to be.

You don't burn many, many hours getting to Bill. It's also true that the difficulty of the final fight has not remained fixed at all. It used to be, for example, that your ally could survive on their own for a very long time; recently I've found that they die quite quickly no matter what I do. So I'm not confident that it's properly balanced now - it hasn't been easy ever, but the gap in difficulty between it and everything else is substantially larger than it was before.supermini wrote:That's true for every tough boss in ToME. I'm not for nerfing it. Then again, I never lost a life or failed in the final fight so I might be biased.
I'm less interested in nerfing the fight than I am in giving people a chance to gear a toon up and try it again without having to run through the entire leveling process. I
