So the tips on the loading screen are nice (people should suggest more!) but another way to spice it up would be to show stats. Everyone loves stats, right?! Could have a little box in the top-right with some brief info on it. Some things that could go there:
- Player's percentage of achievements achieved in the current difficulty mode
- Last 3 achievements earned
- Progress towards cross-game achievements (ice / fire / etc)
- Total kills across all games, and other cross-game stats recorded
- How many players online right now
- Top 3 most successful classes/races for this version
- Bottom 3 most successful classes/races for this version
- Top 5 killers today
- Top 5 character types today
- No of players to attain achievement X (random)
- No of players to win in this version with race X (random) in difficulty Y
- No of players to win in this version with class X (random) in difficulty Y
- Most recent winner
- Most recent death
- Number of deaths the player has had in this version
- Number of characters started by the player in this version
- Player's top 5 killers
- Player's top 5 races
- Player's top 5 classes
- Donations received in the last 3 months / this week/ all time
- Player's total donations + donor badge level
- Total time player played, and since what date registered
- Total time of all players played, for this version and for all versions
- Highest level player achieved, and with what character
- Info on one of the player's best characters from the past (chosen from the top 20 of the player) and how they died/won
Might be other stuff that's tracked, but that's all the interesting stuff that should be easy enough to pull in already. Some of it relies on net connection stuff - I'd suggest that if the game doesn't receive the info within 0.5 seconds (or something similar) it should pull a local stat instead.

Re: Stats on loading screen
I really like this idea.
Some items on the list might be a bit spoily though. Most lethal monsters, most successful race/class combinations (seems like it might steer new players away from more novel builds) might be left out.
