volcano inaccessible

on my most recent character, the volcano is on the stretch of charred scar south of the spellblaze, and completely cut off from anything I can reach. I'd thought perhaps, by the lore, that there might be a new way there through Dreadfell, but it was not so. As far as I can tell, that makes it completely inaccessible to me.

What volcano ? The caldera or the charred scar ?

I admit, I had not realized that there were two. It appears to be the Charred Scar volcano, in which case it looks like it's exactly where it should be. At the same time, however, the Caldera doesn't seem to have shown up at all. I'm playing a mindslayer, and well past the level it showed up on my previous character, and I've done basically every other dungeon on the continent (including a surprise appearance by Poosh) with the exception of the dungeon to get out east.
