I do know some auto use talent options are getting a major rehaul in the next version from

They get explained in the Advanced Tutorial, but basically:

Powers and saves come in 20-point tiers. (1-20 is tier 1, 21-40 is tier 2, etc.) If a talent checks a save, and the power it's based on is higher tier than the save it targets, the victim gets a cross-tier effect as well..

I just came back after not having played since 37 and a q about something new. Why do my sustained abilities keep turning off due to 'anti-magic forces' randomly? Is there a way to stop/mitigate it? I'm playing a temporal warden and quantum feed/weapon folding turning off while I auto explore to leave me week when I do see something is annoying, and strength of purpose suddenly making me encumbered is even worse.

Most likely cause... you need to take off the item or items powered by "arcane disrupting forces".

does arcane disruption stack for multiple items, or is it just on or off?

Arcane disruption does stack.
Any antimagic item that you wear grants you an additional item_level*10 % failure rate for spells.

does anyone know how to remove the background image permanently? I find the 'revealing' nature of the image slightly offensive...*ahem* so, can it be removed or replaced?

tome4/game/engines/te4-0.9.xx.teae(rename it to zip)/data/gfx/background/tome.png replace with anything you want. but it still should have been a little more revealing!

It... there should be, somewhere in the gfx folder (I guess... might be elsewhere, but somewhere or another in the game's files) the image in question. I don't know if you can just delete it, but you should almost certainly be able to replace it with a different image (just name it the same). You'd have to do so every version update, but it shouldn't take but a moment once you figure out where the thing is.

I think that will work. E: Ah, ninja'd.

And yeah, it used to be colder in Maj'Eyal, hum. There's still some things along those lines in game, actually...
E2: Though yeah, dude could stand to lose some plating. I'm fine with cake, but it should be equitable, y'know?

The outlines of the female character's nipples were prominently visible in the original version. The version you see in beta 42 (and going back several betas before that) is the sanitized version. ;)
