[b42] Game closes with no warning
Playing a Shalore Alchemist on a Windows 7 laptop. I just downloaded b42 a few minutes ago and this has already happened three times on levels 1 and 2 of the Scintillating Caves: without any sign of anything being wrong, the application just closes instantly. It happened once while saving, once while resting, and I'm not sure what I was doing the first time. There's no hanging, no hourglasses; it's so smooth it doesn't even feel like a "proper" crash.

I've had a couple crashes happen too; no idea why. I'm using 64-bit linux (ubuntu). I'll investigate further if it happens again.

Happened to me while in Old Forest playing as Bulwark. OSX Lion.
The game just turned off.
Edit: happened again in other area. Other versions never did that.

I was about to submit this. B42 crashes a lot for me and I'm using the linux client (downloaded) on Fedora 32 bits. The crashes occur more frequently (but not only) when I'm saving or autosaving when entering / leaving levels.

Just now I tried to run under gdb/OSX. I got an immediate freeze/crash on loading my save. Here's what I got for output; I'm not too well-versed in how to get as much info out of gdb as possible so if there's something else I can do to help more please let me know!

An update: Once I got out of the Scintillating Caves, this problem all but stopped. It would still happen occasionally thereafter, but not nearly as much as when I was in the caves. The log from the last crash looks a lot like what others have already posted:
