Make visual range actually visual range?

#1 Post by Stormlock »

I think about half my time clearing out weaklings is spent looking for the monster 'in line of sight' that stopped my autoexplore that isn't actually on the screen, and instead is buried under the UI somewhere. Why is the UI not outside of your field of vision?

Well, you can scroll the screen around. It would be nice on large tiles if the autoexplore would choose a camera position that let you see the new threat(s).
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

What I do is just immediately hit a ranged attack talent (or Rush or Rush-likes for melee classes) as soon as autoexplore stops. If it stopped because of a trap, then nothing happens and I just keep going my merry way. If it stopped because of an offscreen enemy, then it auto-targets that enemy and centers the screen on them.

Hmmm but can't the game do it automatically? To automatically "target" the creature?
