[b42] Crash + Character not available to load.

#1 Post by Foogsert »

Had just cleared Rak'Shor (2) and was transitioning to the third area when the game spontaneously closed. Upon loading the game back up, the character was no longer available to load from the save list.

I did die while clearing the area and used a blood of life to revive, if that makes any difference. Unfortunately, having loaded the game I lost the log file for the crash, sorry. Looking at the save file, it has loadable = false set. I'm guessing it set when I died, but since I didn't hit an auto-save point (and didn't manual save) after using the blood of life, it never set the file as loadable again.

http://te4.org/characters/10127/tome/d6 ... 0fc562772b is the character in question.
Will link to the save file whenever it finishes uploading. No idea if that will help in any way though.

Game saves when you die to prevent cheating. If you use Blood of Life and crash the game, the character will be gone unless you save again.

There's a similar bug with alchemist rewards, too.

The game will save when an alchemist's reward is given. Reloading from that save has one of the other Alchemists still complete a potion, but you won't have yours.
