Question About Fortress Energy

If any one knows would they please tell me how energy works. Also if you could tell me how much gold for energy that would be great.

Energy - when you cash in gear for gold in the box, you get the standard gold value and a certain amount of energy. The amount of energy you have at any given time is visible on the quest page. Once your energy gets high enough, it lets you upgrade your rod of recall so that it returns to the base, rather than the surface. Once you get a certain amount higher than that, you can unlock the farportal, fight a unique there, and start going on farportal runs. Each farportal run costs you a certain amount of energy (though my understanding is that if you get lucky with the equipment drops, they can pay for themselves in energy with a nice gold profit, particularly for alchemists)
