Necromancer is so cool!
The damage is so high, still lower than corruptor, though.
Feel regret to learn Harmony Tree when learned Hexes Tree from Grand Corruptor. Equi increased by 150 everytime when I cast Pacification Hex. Now my equi is so high that I can't use any skills in the Harmony Tree.

I'm pretty sure that you stopped being able to use Equilibrium powers as soon as you turned Undead.
Congrats on your win and glad you had fun.

Healing Nexus is always useful, though.Dervic wrote:I'm pretty sure that you stopped being able to use Equilibrium powers as soon as you turned Undead.

What I meant is that by design, Undead aren't supposed to be able to use Equilibrium powers... If you still could after turning into a Lich that's a bug.
Re: [b41]Straker the Lich Necromancer, was a dwarf before
It's not a bug, likely. Probably more of a placeholder.
The game does not, quite, advertise the Equi element of undead well enough to inform you that you can and will be losing an entire category of skills due to turning into a Lich.
I'm not sure what the fix is there, but just closing you out of it feels very wrong. It seems like it ought to mutate into another tree(I'm not sure what, though.), or, barring that, straight up refund your points.
The reason Equi was skyrocketting is that nature reacts poorly to corruption-which is something fairly well stated-and as such, every time you use a Vim-based ability, your Equi spikes incredibly.

How do you heal yourself once you become a lich? You can't use infusions anymore and the only healing skill you have (Undeath Link) is quite crappy.

You use the vampire sustain from the Grave tree. That, or you teleport away, put on a +hp regen item, and wait for a while.
EDIT: Also, the Higher racial still works. I quite like Higher for necromancers, as all four of their talents address areas that necromancers like.

<Ferret> The Spellblaze was like a nuclear disaster apparently: ammo became the "real" currency.

Here are the ways to heal after you become a lich:PowerWyrm wrote:How do you heal yourself once you become a lich? You can't use infusions anymore and the only healing skill you have (Undeath Link) is quite crappy.
Escort an Anorthil to learn Healing Light or unlock the Celestial/Light Tree so that you also get Providence to dispel negative effects without Wild infusions.
Vampire sustain from the Grave tree is also useful, what's more, there's a spell called Undeath Link, sacrificing a part your minions' life to heal yours.
You can also get the complete set of Eternal Nights (Crown and Binding, you can get both in the Ancient Elven Ruins, a little luck is needed, though.) and cast Retch from the crown, which also heals your minions
Re: [b41]Straker the Lich Necromancer, was a dwarf before
With my current necromancer, I've been saving all my generics for Celestial/Light Tree... and no anorithil has spawned as an escort yet (only 4 escorts before Dredfell though... it's gonna be fun trying to save them there). The Vampiric Gift sustain seems completely useless (costs 290 mana to sustain! and heals a miserable amount with a very low percentage chance to work). Undeath Link could be nice, but the cooldown is too high. And I don't have found a way to tell my ghoul minions to use Retch (they don't seem to use it ever)...sehnsucht wrote:Here are the ways to heal after you become a lich:

By the way, once you become a lich, don't all NPCs become hostile? How do you play the endgame without talking to any NPCs?
Re: [b41]Straker the Lich Necromancer, was a dwarf before
Vampiric Gift is incredible - basically a full heal when it triggers (about half the time) if you invest all five points and have a decent healmod.
I'm guessing a bunch of escorts failed to spawn because of closed doors. Go back to the escort-spawning dungeons and run quickly to the bottom - I'll bet you get at least a couple more. It's true that anorithils aren't guaranteed, though, which is a pity, given how important they are to undead.
Lichform is ... weird, in terms of npc reactions. Conversations will acknowledge that you're undead but no one seems bothered by it. I wish there was some flavor text about using your magical abilities to shield your true form or something.

Ah ok, so it's different from the undead races which have the Cloak of Deception to deal with NPCs. Good to know...Parcae2 wrote:Lichform is ... weird, in terms of npc reactions.
