Allied patrols!

Another idea on the idea pile!
Allied patrols, when hostile, cannot be fought.
This should be fixed.
I'm thinking a pair of random scaled bosses!

And when not hostile, you should be able to displace them like townsfolk. *grumbles* Get out of the way! :x

Or randomly enter the "ambush" encounter screen and get a quest as an event. . . like, 1/100 chance when spawning allied patrols.

About patrols, I always thought you should be able to join them for a while, something ala: "Hey chum, we're going to/near (insert town/dungeon name), wanna join us 'till we arrive?" (not in that tone ofc :lol: ). The nice thing in this is that Allied Patrols always attack Adventurers Parties, so you could help balance the Patrols/Adventurers situation in the world map, which is something that is sorely needed in some games. (You know, the times when the map is literally swarming with adventurers coming from every corner and patrols are (almost) nowhere to be found)

I'm not saying that adventurers are OP, unless they have some crazy class combos, all of them spot you before you get to kill one of them or one of those is a Paradox Mage.

Oh, and of course if this is ever going to be implemented you should only be getting exp and loot from the adventurers YOU kill.
