Psiblades

Do they benefit from investment into Weapons Training? Also, more generally, for those who have used them, are they any good?

I don't think they benefit from it, but I haven't tried... Psiblade summoners have been my favorite class lately, and I can tell you that psiblades suffer significantly from a lack of accuracy that summoners usually have. That's especially bad since 2 of the mindstar mastery talents require landing a melee hit to work. The one that does not, however, (leaves tide) is pretty nice, especially when supporting summons.

Psiblades benefit from Weapons Mastery only in that it increases Physical Power, which is used in the damage formula for melee attacks. You'd get just as much benefit from taking Knife Mastery.
<Ferret> The Spellblaze was like a nuclear disaster apparently: ammo became the "real" currency.

My favorite mindstar users are Mindslayers. Their "Reshape Weapon" skill lets them add 15 damage and accuracy to the mindstars, most psionic skills uses willpower or cunning and the mindstars usually have psionic abilities (additional psi, mental crit chance, etc.). The mindslayers can also transform 36% of their willpower and cunning to strength and dexterity which helps with the damage and accuracy issues.

Unfortunately you have to do the antimagic quest and get lucky with the correct escort quest to get that skill tree but it is worth it.

Yeah... starslayers are pretty alright once you get reshape going, even without the AM tree. Having a TK gem that actually whacks people isn't that bad, heh.

That said, I kinda' boggle that summoners of all things are the only ones with the tree native. Slayers totally seem like they'd fit it better... or maybe a specific psionic mindstar tree or something.

Still, mindslayer being one of the best AM classes, it's not too bad to have to jump through the hoops for the mindstar tree. Assuming you can save an escort and then get the tree, anyway.

Anyway, combat accuracy boosts 'em as per normal, and I'm fairly sure they benefit from the physpower boost of the damage talents (Those all cross-stack regardless as to the weapon used, insofar as the physpower boost goes), but not the percentage aspect. Psiblade summoner probably wants to prioritize stopping by last hope for th'combat training tree, heh.
