<dasrunzen> i tried to find out by changing my hardiness and armor with a totem and then to calculate...
<dasrunzen> cant do physical dmg to me with 100% hardiness

<dasrunzen> no, its somehow amplified by the helmet you wear
<senon>     yeah, anythign with a percentage in the damage generally is based on a simple melee attack

<dasrunzen> okay, description of skullcracker says its a fixed dmg, but i get different dmg-results on the same kind and lvl of mob every time

Just to mention it. My expermiments where sadly unsucessful. I still dont know if the physical damage reduction through armor and hardiness is applied before or after the reduction through all damage resist and physical damage resist.
I would be happy if someone could help me with this issue.

Before. Armour is applied to the attack before any damage is projected, so an attack practically has its power reduced from what is on the character sheet, before multipliers from damage range, critical hits, talents, +damage% etc... are applied.
