How to add addons on Mac

#1 Post by Sketchytexas »

Hi, I've been trying to find the game/addons folder on my Mac, but I don't know where it is. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't have my mac in front of me at the moment, but there's typically two places to look for the various game files. One is at [users/YOURNAME/Library/Application Support/T-Engine]. The other you can find by right-clicking on the application icon and selecting "Show package contents". I think the add-ons folder is in the latter.

Right click on your T-Engine application, choose "show package contents". A new window should open, with a single folder ("Contents"). From there, go to Contents/Resources/Game. There should be a folder named "addons" there. It may be locked in the current distribution, so get info on it (right click and choose from menu, or command + I) and unlock it.

PS: I recommend making an alias of the addon folder and placing it somewhere more accessible if you will be swapping addons often.

It would be great to update T-Engine to use the ~/Library/Applications Support folder for this, rather than keeping the things in the app bundle. Otherwise, every time users update their app all of their add-ons will be blown away.

Works too; create : ~/Library/Applications Support/T-Engine/4.0/addons/ and palce things there
