Re: Dumb questions thread
Are adventurer parties with a lower "health bar" in the worldmap (due to meeting patrols and the like) weaker? Like, having less members, and such.

No, but if they fight another patrol (or a npc) they'll die.DarthImbreedous wrote:Are adventurer parties with a lower "health bar" in the worldmap (due to meeting patrols and the like) weaker? Like, having less members, and such.
Re: Dumb questions thread
Ok one dumb question - why I dont see "graphics" spell effects? For example I cast bomb spell or flame spell as Alchemist and I dont see any graphical effects :/. I have some other spell like healing and mana regen - they have not any graphics effects? I can only click and.. done. no partical effect or any other graphical effects. I have high end cpu/gpu, all video options are maximized.
Re: Dumb questions thread
Ok I have lvl 14 and I stuck at "Lake of Nur". I need something special to breath under water? Any special potion/skill oraz something other? I think that if I normally walk into that lake i will die really fast
.

Re: Dumb questions thread
amulet of fish, or armour/helmet of the deep, or play a skeleton
Without these, walk to the bubbles to restore your oxygen
A particular artifact ring will increase your air capacity by 50 as well. very helpful.

I can answer this one: is your number of particles on screen 0? if it is, you get no effects. Rise it to something reasonably low but still above zero, like 10, or so.zaboleqqq wrote:Ok one dumb question - why I dont see "graphics" spell effects? NOW HERE IS MY OWN QUESTION
I've heard a lot about how non-summoner necros are even better than summoner ones. How does one go about building one? I am assuming one pumps blurred mortality, chill of the tomb, and invoke darkness. Anything else?
TL'DR: Give me a summonless necro build, please.
For that matter, I'd not mind hints on Necrosummon builds either (I want to try a summonless because I've found that while summonnecros are good, their limited ability for aura replenishment means that raiding adv parties is often complicated). Or, while we are at it, Doomed builds

Re: Dumb questions thread
Summoner necro build: Unlock the shades tree and max out curse of the meek. Put points in arcane eye and probability travel. And abuse pro travel to trivialize most of the game. Adventurer parties shouldn't be a problem for any necromancer.
Re: Dumb questions thread
Making a necro and just wondering is the staff mastery skill purely a melee skill bonus or does it also affect channel staff skill? I'm guessing by the wording it's purely melee but it could just be a badly worded skill description as I have no desire to ever melee with a necro

Re: Dumb questions thread
Channel Staff is literally like walking up to the enemy and whacking it with your staff, but without the "walking up" part, armor, or the to-hit roll. Staff Mastery applies, as do physical power increases.
<Ferret> The Spellblaze was like a nuclear disaster apparently: ammo became the "real" currency.

It affects staff channel damage.
I don't know to what extent you want those skills, though. Necros have a surplus of generic points, but I think there are better ways to spend them than staff combat.

Re: Dumb questions thread
Yes, but it's still not really worth it, if you have anything else to invest the points in, and you do. Even if you don't get any escort quest reward trees, you should max extract gems first. And consider priorizing other guaranteed generic trees, like Last Hope's (and there are a couple more).
Alchemist power comes mainly from the alchemical bombs. Max out the first four abilities of the main bomb tree. And try to get supercharge golem maxed ASAP as well (it's good to have a perma-meatshield with you). After that, invest alternatively in infusions and in golem-boosting skills, depending on whether you need to improve your bomb's kill ratio or your golem's survival rate.
Most generic skills (barring extract gems) are an afterthought at best. IMO the best reward quests to get would be the anorithil and seer rewards, in order to max out Barrier and Premonition, respectively. (One of the semi-guaranteed trees is also pretty good, but I'm not sure of it's spoilery status, so I shant comment)
TL, DR: Bomb alchemist with a reasonably strong golem = easiest character in the game, IMO. Don't bother with manasurge runes, get a couple of shields and heal infusions ASAP instead.

Re: Dumb questions thread
Max extract gems first? Why? Unless you make a point of buying high material level items and then extracting gems from them. Just drop a generic point in the talent any time new material levels show up.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

Re: Dumb questions thread
It's not exactly a priority, but I think you want to have the points avaiable for when new materials pop up. And it happens early.
