[b39-svn-5035]burning hex trap

1 when stepping on a burning hex trap, the game crashes
bug report:

How did you compile this version? The instructions on the Wikipedia don't work for me.

just follow the instructions on the Wikipedia. step by step and you will make it

If you're talking about windows then maybe/maybe not. The wiki instructions did not work on my new computer even though I used them without issue on my old one. I even copied my build utilities over from my old computer without luck.

(for the hex trap. Not sure what you mean on mindstars they're meant to be dual-wielded).

Although mindstars can dual wield or triple wield(psionic), the mindpower on each is too low.

i just played a LVL 28 psionic in svn5035 and i soloed lots of mindstars, but most of them only have 2-6 mindpower. at the same level, i can easily find some 20-30willpower staff with lots of usefull attributes. when i was an archmage i can easily promote my spellpower by equipment, but when i am a psionic, the only way to make my mindpower looks better is to increase my states, little equipment can increase mindpower and most of them increases little.

i'm not sure if it's only cause of my bad luck or my personal feeling.maybe it's just my illusion?

The lack of mindpower on other items is a very valid point and something I plan to get too (and if I don't I'm sure someone else will).

I reduced the spellpower on staves though (or more specifically, the spellpower from egos on staves, the base spellpower was increased) because it marginalized other bonuses. +10-20 spellpower just from an ego was way to much and other bonuses can't compete with that, spellpower is just to important. So the idea was to shift some of this over to the base and reduce the amount from egos.

If mindstars need to give more mindpower once the other egos get sorted out then the base could be increased as well.

Currently two tier 5 mindstars give 10 mindpower and 10 mind crit. Comparatively a tier five staff gives 15 spellpower and 5 spell crit (and +30% damage to a damage type).

Maybe the mindpower on mindstars is to low when you factor in the damage bonus casters get.

staff can easily get egos that increase it's spellpower, but mindstar dose not. my 28 psionic have 20+ mindstars, but only one of them get an ego that increase it's mindpower by 4. so i always lack of mindpower.

maybe this situation will change when i reach higher level because i'm only 28 psionic. and the change of egos after 5035 may also influence the chance of the egos as well.

the other problem is i can't find a place to buy mindstars. but it's already on your plan?isn't it? :lol:

A quick count shows that there's actually more mindstar egos giving mindpower then staff egos that give spellpower.
yeah, you are right :D staff have less spellpower in 5046 now.
