If you look at the forums, or participate in the chat ingame, one of the most common questions is something like this:
"hey, i have 50 accuracy and equipped gloves of attack with +12 accuracy, why is my accuracy now 54 and now 62?
So I have a suggestion - in order to keep the game balanced the way it is with respect to the use of scaled values, could we retain the scaled values for internal calculations, and but display the raw value at all times (in hovers, character sheet etc).
That way, you avoid these endless questions (and I think the frustration of thinking you've added something worth X but it looks like it is worth less than X).
Retain scaled values for internals, but display raw values

Re: Retain scaled values for internals, but display raw valu
That would bring up the opposite problem:
Hey, it says I should have a 100% chance to hit if I have 20 more accuracy than their DEF, why do I miss enemies when I have 140 accuracy and they have 120 DEF?
I'm not sure what the best solution would be, two ideas I had were:
- call them Tiered foo and Raw foo. This would work, though it would be awkward and cluttered.
- Change the char sheet to show both, for example, Spellpower: 50 (raw 90), showing both the tiered and raw values somewhere accessible.

Yes, I had also thought of that. That would solve both problems.
