Hey,

Fist of all, great addon. This class reminds me so much of the Hunter class in a fairy know MMORPG WoW ;)
I do, however have some problems with the taming of animals. My lev 7 char can hardy tame a simple bear. Its because my taming process fails all the times, and I have to tame the beast 5 times in a row to successfully tame it. Maybe the conditions are a bit harsh atm. Maybe a talent, which would increase the chance of the tame talent hit the mob? Maybe increase the time the animal is "suppressed" to a few turns.
I assume the hit chance increases with willpower. But what is it checked against? My willpower is 17 and I'm still having big problems hitting with the "tame" talent a animal with mental defense 6. Maybe some clarification this regarding would help.

A talent to help the taming process could look following:

Increase the number of turns the animal is in a suppressed state after a successful "tame" talent has been used to: 2,3,4,5,6

Regards:)

Your chance increases with Willpower and the Elite Beastmastery talent, while animals use parts of all their 3 powers as well as their level ( if higher than yours ) and special bonuses for elite/boss and dragons.
Every gameturn you lose progress, so you should only use instant talents between Tame Animal.
Everytime you use an ability that takes time, when you attack or move or fail Tame Animal you lose 1 counter.
Every successful use of Tame Animal adds 2 counters, but as it uses a turn you effectively gain 1 counter.
If you let the supress effect run out ( ~4 turns ), you lose all counters. Increasing this effects duration doesnt really help you taming normal animals, as you probably lose all counters until the buff runs out.

All that means you have to keep facing the animal you want to tame, use tame animal as much as possible while having a higher "tame score" vs its "animal will" to get a counter in over 50% of the tries, resulting in a steady buildup of counters until its tamed, and wasting as few as possible turns for healing or other defensive things.

I had no real problems taming level 1-3 animals with a level 1 character in my tests. Your willpower is probably too low as you gain no advantage for taming lower level animals at the moment.
This might change if I remove boss taming, but there will be small tweaks to the mechanics anyway.

Now i see, why the idea with the suppressed debuff duration is rubbish...

Normally, while inspecting a creature, you can tell, how easy it is to hit it with a spell or attack, just compare s.power to s.def and so on. Thus you can know from the very beginning, if you have a chance hitting the target (or do you have to use perfect strike -like abilities). Can You tell me what the combination of the 3 basic defenses looks like in the process of taming an animal.
To have a chance of taming it, you have to have min 50% chance of hitting with the tame talent (or large amounts of luck or time).
If I have for example 20 mindpower, how much tame defence an animal with p.def-20 s.def-10 m.def-10 has?

Regards:)

Here is the code ( with lower pointcaps and rankmods than in v4 ), shouldnt be too hard to understand: http://pastebin.com/9Eck13eR

I guess I could display the supress chance in the tooltip of npcs, or at least display it after each use in the log.

I just did it.
Well, its kind of boring. The worm has 10k live, does nothing, just follows you slowly. I didn't go out of the sandworm liar, course i didn't want to save the progress with this pet. ATM there is no other way to get a new pet, then to let the old one get killed. And you cant kill the tunneler. You being stuck with an useless pet.

Somegirl said this class is too much like any generic MMORPG Hunter, so I change it that the main character is an animal you can choose at the start and you can tame any humanoid.
The advantage of this change is also that humanoids already come with a lot of different skills, so the choice of who to tame should become more meaningful.

can you please rewrite the description so it is in the same format as the rest of them?
It doesn't even say what traits are most important for this class.
Also shouldn't this be a wilder subclass?

My unreleased changes have the trees changed to Wild Gift already, I guess I should move the class itself then, too.

Need to check other tooltips on how they are formatted.

Some thoughts on this class, except I haven't played it entirely through:

-If you start out as an undead, treat will heal you for the full amount. This is probably a bug.

-Killing shot looks way too powerful when combined with aim, even though I haven't tried it yet.

-Remove the poison arrows talent and replace it with some archery attack talent. Instead, give rangers the poison tree (locked).

-The beastmastery tree should have a talent that improves their ability to tame.

-Its possible to tame a creature that is under the effects of a yeek's domination, but it is buggy.

This sounds awesome. I look forward to playing the new version :)

Will we be able to equip our humanoids?
