Doors - tactical options
I've noticed that there seems to be no way to close a door once it's been opened. Intentional simplification, or oversight? As I'm sure you're well aware, Darkgod (what with ToME starting its life as an Angband variant), in Angband you can close and even jam doors to prevent pursuit by enemies. I'm kind of curious as to why this was taken out of ToME! Additionally, it would be neat if rogues could place traps on doors...

I think it's both simplification and balance. Consider the possibility of continually closing a door on an enemy's face whilst your talents come off cooldown - it would make one on one fights eminently cheeseable.

I'm not sure this is the case. For player's at least, opening a door doesn't take a turn. If this is true for enemies, they would be able to open the door and go onto the space in the same turn. In fact, I'd be more concerned the ability to close doors wouldn't be any use at all.
