The spoiler channel for the in-game chat is largely underused, mostly out of inconvenience. I'd rather there was an easy way to mark a single chat message as "spoilers," which would prevent it being displayed in chat. Example:
<player1> some chat message
<player2> This message is marked as a spoiler, click to reveal.
Auto-revealing spoilers should naturally be an option, and "spoiled" messages could show up as a different color (light yellow?) so spoiling is kept to a minimum. Actor and item linking should always be obscured as a spoiler. (This linked actor is marked as a spoiler, click to reveal. and This linked item is marked as a spoiler, click to reveal.)
How a chat message is marked as a spoiler is kind of up in the air. Simplest would be some sort of leading tag like /s. As long as it doesn't require more than a few keypresses or clicking outside the message box, it should be much more user-friendly.

I like the idea of that. Much more intuitive then having two separate chats.
For quest related items and any fixed artifacts, I would have the game keep track of if you have ever seen that item on your profile. If you have, the item is revealed, otherwise it isn't. Random artifacts, and regular items should not have spoiler tags, since they really don't spoil anything plot related.
Fixed Bosses should also have spoiler tags unless the player has seen it with one of his characters. Also Farportal bosses if that feature has not been discovered. Same goes for regular enemies if the player has not seen any enemy with the same name.

Ah, that would be a clever way to do it, and a discovered artifact/boss browser would be a slick addition for 1.0.
