Is it me or are rogues under powered, at least in the beginning?
You need to have advanced talents in the cunning/stealth category to make any use of it...
Stealth alone...what does it give you??Seems like nothing...
With a rogue, focusing on stealth, i was unable to kill the trollmire final troll...I was unable to even get it low while with a shield and sword guy it was a piece of cake...

Re: Stealth
The final troll guy is not supposed to be easily beatable by every class - consider him an optional challenge.
Stealth helps immensely with running away, whilst also being of huge help for closing in on ranged enemies. Early on it's not as great, and the best tactic at the start of the game is to invest in stunning attacks and a couple of useful traps.

Re: Stealth
The first time I ran into Bill the Troll I got crushed. I was a 2nd level halfling rogue with the starting daggers. The second time I got up to level 5 or so and had a couple of iron daggers of massacre. That made all the difference. Also, the levels gained from killing Bill gave me more than enough power to mow through the final troll.
I start building up stealth after level 10. The first levels are all about making him a deadly knife fighter. You'll need to hide from nothing if you do that. Be sure to hit all of the surrounding towns for weapon upgrades. A pair of 30 gold daggers with a focus on their power stat and you'll be fine.
