Yeah, that's a good question. I always pronounced it "Mauj Eye-yall". Now that I actually think about it, that's probably way off. Maybe "Mage Eee-yale"? "Mag Yall" (silent e)?

I have a feeling we all have different ways of saying it by this point, regardless if there is an established pronunciation.

Mahj-eye-all is how I have always pronounced it. My guess is that Tolkien rules are still largely in effect.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

Darkgod and Grey (the biggest plot and world creators) pronounce it on the roguelike radio.

... I can't really write phonetic so that ppl will understand so... :-/

I've always pronounced it something like "Mahj, eh? All!"

edit: the "mahj" would be like the Kazon leaders from early episodes of Star Trek: Voyager, if you remember them... :P

Madj-eye-all. And I think that those of us who remember Voyager are trying very hard to forget it.

I didn't like season 1 of Voyager, but most shows aren't that good in season 1. The actors need time to get into their roles, especially in sci-fi. I stopped watching for a while but I thought it was really good as of season 4. Possibly earlier, but I missed those.

maj'eyal
the m is a regular m
the a is an a like in aaaaaaaaaaah
the j sounds like the j in taj'mahal

and then eyal is just
the e sounds like the canadian "eh", which is not "eh" as in "meh"
and then yal, like in "y'all"

I think I pronounce it the same as you two, although I stress the second syllable. A bit difficult to read in phonetics but would look something like this:

məˈʤaɪæl
