Please HELP me with an effect: "Cleanse Your Mind"

What does this do? Shouldn't this be explained (perhaps parenthetically) in the Item's text?

I presume it means it cures mental status ailments, but I agree that it should be more clearly described.

Seems like. It did successfully remove the mental conditions inflicted upon me by the uh... ludicrous creature from this post... before it one-shotted me the next turn.
