Tome thread on the Something Awful forums

There's been some discussion in the general roguelike thread on the SA forums of getting a thread started for Tome. So being the good guy (sucker) that I am I got one started.

I've been following that thread for the last week, and it's really been kinda . I don't have an account there, but I'd love to invite some of the SA posters to these forums to share their ideas and input. The general consensus has been overwhelmingly positive so far and its a very tough crowd over there. Very high standards on that gaming board, so the team should be very proud with what they've accomplished.

Plus there are hundreds of talented modders who have worked on all sorts of stuff. Something awful mods usually end up being high quality and/or very humorous. I've seen some very good ideas in that thread and very valuable input so far. Point them to the Ideas and Development forums if they want to chip in!

Great job with the quick replies for help with the noobs too, edge and company! On all of the recent reviews I've read about ToME lately, the helpful/friendly community aspect is always mentioned in those reviews. Congratulations gentlemen.

I mentioned in the OP the difference between the engine and the game and how modules could be developed. Someone brought up a food clock mod so maybe I'll encourage the idea there too.
