I used to enjoy reading and even tweaking the code, but for several betas, I can only see a large teae file..
Is the code inside this and how do I read it? There's probably an obvious answer but I can't find it.
Thanks!

I typically just check the svn repo (http://svn.net-core.org/repos/t-engine4/). You can make a copy of the tome-3.9.36.team file, change the extension to .zip, and extract it to get the original file structure.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).
Re: [b36] where is source code gone? teae???
That large file is actually an archive. You can open it with (de)compression software like 7-zip.
Re: [b36] where is source code gone? teae???
The file is a zip file. You can just rename and extract it. The game won't authenticate anymore with source as the zip file's md5 is checked not each lua file ibdepentdently. This improves loading times.
For the svn the username is guest and password is guestor iirc.

So can you tweak the code and then recompress and then rename to .teae?
I like to add much more info to output so I Can understand the mechanics more, eg, what is leeched and for what amount etc

You can just extract. Rename the file to .zip. the extracted source then functions 100%. It just won't validate to te4.org.

Will my characters appear online in the vault?

No, the vault is for validated characters only. Eventually there might be an invalidated section, but who knows.jenx wrote:Will my characters appear online in the vault?
