If you wear an item that is in the chest, it does not encumber you like if you would move it into your main inventory, then wear it. This can only be accessed by the "w" menu, not the mouse.

When you unequip the item it moves back to the chest too.

'w' should either incorporate the 'move item to normal inventory' or not be possible for items in the chest.
