Character Dump
This character was created to try exploring the ID, and hopefully get to lvl 60. I chose an Anorithil because they only have one main stat that I cared about (Magic), with the rest going to CON, then Cunning. I chose Yeek because of their significantly faster leveling would give me an advantage over enemies, as well as the fact that they have four useful racial talents.
Early levels (1-20)
I cleared the entirety of every level, including Vaults. This was quite risky, but at this time I had not invested much time in the character, so it wouldn't have been a big loss. This kept me 5-7 levels ahead of the enemies for much of the game, making it much easier. I mostly kept Hymn of Detection and Chant of Fortitude active at this time, and used Moonlight Ray, Searing Light and Firebeam for damage, along with lvl 5 Sun Flare for blinding and illuminating, along with AoE damage. It is around this time that I found the Eelskin armour, which was very good for both its extra damage as well as the added damage type diversity. Stats went into Magic, then Constitution.
Mid Levels (20-40)
This is where the character really started to shine. I maxed Hymn of Moonlight and Corona, and used them to leverage more hits out of the Eelskin Armour. Enemies caught up to me in level, but hadn't surpassed me yet. I had problems maintaining energy levels when faced with mid sized to large groups of enemies, which deactivated Corona and Hymn of Moonlight fairly often, and forced me to retreat. I usually ran with maxed Hymn of Moonlight, Chant of Light (for damage and vision), and Corona. Damage comes from the previous sources in addition to Glyphs for crowd control and moonlight/Corona for multiple enemy damage.
High levels (40-58)
The char starts to become quite unbalanced at this point, after gaining the Fiery Choker and some resource leech items along with a higher spell crit rate, she can create a positive feedback loop where hymn of moonlight starts triggering Corona, which triggers Volcano, which triggers Lightning, which triggers more Corona -> Volcano -> Lightning -> Corona, and so on, with resource leech ensuring that my energy levels stay high despite draining 50-70 per turn from Corona and hymn of Moonlight. This would have been even better if I had gotten the Black Robe, as it has a 15% chance of proccing a spell instead of 10%. A large part of my damage came from these extra spells, augmented by Glyphs and Twilight Surge (which scale in damage much more linearly than other skills). I focused my class and generic points on what would bring the greatest improvement, instead of boosting damage. This meant looking for skills that increased in multiple ways per talent point, such as Glyphs (range, damage, duration), Bathe in Light (Duration, Healing mod, and Healing), Totality (Cooldowns, penetration magnitude and duration), Starfall (damage, radius), Providence (effects removed, damage healed), and Shadow Blast (damage, duration) over straight damage skills.
Throughout the game, I struggled with carrying capacity, as I had extremely low STR, and found many artifacts that I did not want to leave behind. I also had very low HP by the end, and almost no resistances. This led to several of my deaths being instakills, even through shields.
