One feature I'd love to see is simply a log that displays dungeons visited, and max depth visited at each.
I currently have 10 or 15 different characters that I've started and go back to periodically. Whenever I load up an older character, there's no quick way to tell (so far as i know), at a glance, where exactly he is in the game--for example, did I finish the Elven Ruins, just do the first couple letters, or did I even enter it yet? Have I done ALL the starter dungeons? That kind of thing. A dungeon log, similar to the quest log, would be extremely useful just to know exactly what a character's done and still needs to do.
[Note: I'm still on b31, so apologies if something like this has already been implemented in more recent betas.]

Re: Dungeon Log
There's something similar that's been in for a long while - the quest log. Press 'j' to view. Completed dungeons are in grey, active ones in green. It doesn't have the detail you suggest though, nor does it include all dungeons.
Re: Dungeon Log
Right, and I mentioned the quest log in the original post. I use it frequently for checking alchemist quests and fortress energy for farportals. It's just not terribly helpful when picking up a character that hasn't played for a while. The quest log gives a really rough idea where you are in the game, but as you mentioned, it doesn't include all dungeons, nor indicate whether you finished a dungeon or just poked around the first level looking for alchemist ingredients (with some exceptions). So, like with the Elven Ruins example I mentioned, you can't tell if you finished it unless you dive down to Elven Ruins 3 and wander around a bit. I mean, you can check to see if you entered it by just stepping in, but I typically do the first couple levels earlier on looking for alchemist ingredients or higher-level equipment--to see if it's been finished requires popping down to the bottom. Really I was thinking more of the "Display recall depths" window from T2.
Detail isn't really even a big concern. If just sticking with the Quest Log is desirable, then have a new entry appear for each dungeon entered, which completes once you kill the boss (or satisfy whatever condition constitutes "completed"). That would have the same effect, though there might be an issue with clutter in the quest log window.
It's not a big deal though, so if I'm the only one that finds that at all annoying, I have no problem just sucking it up. Just seemed to me to be a potentially useful and non-controversial idea after I loaded up a skeleton archer today that I actually started a few weeks ago.

Re: Dungeon Log
Related musing: A list of completed quests would be a nice addition to the load screen.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).
Re: Dungeon Log
I agree. I just ran into this problem today with a character that I haven't played in a week or two. Something along the lines of the idea in the OP would be useful.
