Ah yes quite better!

I have gone over the list of unreplaced sounds and I think we need: cloud (a spot of gaz pops, like a "pshhhhhh"), quaff, read, earth missile, tidal wave (big water sound)

I'm not sure about the melee hits or splashs. Just doesnt sound very swordy to me (the misses are quite better).

Maybe there is no need for miss/hit, jsut a (few) general sword/axes/... swings and the various hit effects (slash for felshy things, metal bong, bones cracking, slimy target, "air" hit (for elementals). Misses are simply swing sounds without a hit effect

Oh and I have integrated most other creature sounds & ambient sounds, very nice :)
With some realtime play on volume, randomness & pitches the forest sounds can make different ambiences :)

I can do some different "swoosh" sounds. I think i did a few already. They are simple. Just changing the pitch of them makes them sound heavy (like an pole arm) or light (like a knife).
You can probably change the pitch of them in code to reflect that but if you want me to do some individual ones, let me know.

I will work on the hit effects.

As for the melee hits, they were supposed to sound like a slice. So you would have your proper "swoosh" effect and then that slice sound if it hits. I guess that would be appropriate for a slice on flesh effect.

I tried various things.
I even found a recording of a mound of actual earth worms. . . but it sounded like something on a frying pan.
I then thought maybe The Jelly sound should be swapped with the worm sounds. Ill give it some more thought but thats a tough one.
Use it as a place holder and I will continue to experiment.

Well, I think this sounds better. I reversed the "water" sounds and added the actual earth worm mass sound over the top. See what you think.

If that new worm mass sounds ok to you, i will take the old ones and increase the pitch and add them to the upcoming "hit" effect library unless there is a creature in the game that can use them.
Ill divide the sounds into swooshes and hits in separate rar files so there will not be any confusion (hopefully) of what they are intended to be.

True that! I'm excited to see how this all works together. I have some talent at programming, but sounds and music have always been beyond my talents. The few times I've bother to add sound to my projects, I'm always thrilled at how much more responsive and real it feels.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

Thanks. I tend to dive in with things I am passionate about.

Are animations on the current sprites possible?
