No need to be so rude about it, it's a perfectly understandable desire. Many games feature in-game manuals.

It's a lot of work of course, but potentially the community should put some effort into creating one at some point, starting from some of the more stable elements like the resources.

I got a (very) quick writeout of the resource help file:

Code: Select all

	Stamina
Stamina represents you character's ability to exert him/herself to do powerful moves.

How does it work:
Each turn you will recover a set amount of stamina, and using talents will decrease it. Talent stamina cost will increase if your character have fatigue values.

Maximum stamina can be increased with Willpower.

Sustaining:
Sustaining stamina talents will decrease maximum value by that amount.

	Mana
Mana represents your ability to concentrate and manipulate magical energies.

How does it work:
Each turn you will recover a set mana of stamina, and using talents will decrease it. Talent stamina cost will increase if your character have fatigue values.

Maximum mana can be increased with Willpower.

Sustaining mana talents will decrease maximum value by that amount.

	Equilibrium
Equilibrium represetns your harmony with nature: the higher the value, the lower harmony.

How does it work:
Normally you will start at 0 equilibrium. Using talents will increase the value, and when the equilibrium value exceed your willpower, failure will start to happen. The greater difference between current equilibrium and willpower, the greater the failure chance.

Only talents and items can reduce this value.

Equilibrium has no theoretical maximum value. Increasing willpower will increase the amount of equilibrium you can have before failure chance starts to occur.

Sustaining equilibrium talents will increase base equilibrium amount by the talent cost. You cannot reduce equilibrium beyond that point.

	Hate
Hate represents your character's hatred that is inside you.

How does it work:
Hate will decrease every turn and when you use talents. It can be increased by these actions:
	* Using certain talents
	* Killing enemies
	* Take a large amount of damage (equals to a certain health percentage)
	* Take damage when health is low

Maximum hate can only be increased by gaining levels.

Sustaining hate talents normally doesn't have upfront cost. How it affects the resource depends on each talent.

	Positive/Negative
*Please insert something here*

How does it work:
Positive/Negative will decrease every turn and with talent use that has positive cost. To regain both, you need to use talents that have negative cost of that type of resource. You can only gain resource up to maximum limit.

Maximum Positive/Negative can only be increased by gaining levels.

Sustaining Positive/Negative talents will decrease maximum value by that amount.

	Vim
*Please insert something here*

How does it work:
Vim will not naturally be gained or lost. To lose it, use talents. To gain it, do these actions:
	* Using certain talents
	* Killing enemies will net you vim equals to willpower/10, rounded down.
	* If you use single-target talent and kill the targetted enemy with it, you will regain any vim point spent using that talent.

Maximum vim can only be increased by gaining levels.

Sustaining vim talents will decrease maximum value by that amount.

	Paradox
Paradox represents how stable the spacetime is. The higher the value, the less stable spacetime is.

How does it work:
At the start of the game, you will have 150 paradox. The amount can be tuned down by using certain talents, and tuned up by using most talents. Like equilibrium, there is no theoretical limit to how much you can have paradox, but there is something to note: several talents get more powerful by having higher paradox, but when paradox is higher, these will happen:

	* Failure: high paradox can cause talent use to fail. This value can be increased by fatigue.
	* Anomaly: when paradox is high enough, every time you use paradox talents you will risk trigger an anomaly, which can cause some effects that can either be beneficial or detrimental to the player.
	* Backfire: high paradox will have chance to change paradox talents to target you instead.

To reduce chances of any above events being triggered, lower your paradox (Using Spacetime Tuning or Static History to reduce paradox will never trigger these events, no matter you high your paradox currently is), and increase your willpower. Certain talents will reduce these chances too.

Sustaining paradox talents will increase base paradox amount by the talent cost. You cannot reduce paradox beyond that point.

	Psi
Psi represents your ability to concentrate and let loose your psychic power.

How does it work:
Psi will not naturally be gained or lost. To lose it, use talents. To gain it, you can only use certain talents to increase it.

Maximum psi can be gained by increasing willpower.

Sustaining psi talents will decrease maximum value by that amount.
Comments?
Why can't TOME 4 has a secret room where you can represent game bugs as, well, enemies you can crush like in Divine Divinity? That would be cool...

Psi regens naturally nowadays (.2 per turn), and the vim thing with non-single target talent cost recoup's been fixed in svn if the changelog is accurate. Other than that, seems fairly spot on.

Hello,

I do not think this game needs a help file!

playing the tutorial for this game pretty much explains the basics of the game and it has essentially three difficulty levels that pretty much allows you to learn as you play!

for me hitting the "m" key and using the courser to highlight each skill helped me quite a bit in understanding character skills and how to use them!

Also, there is a lot of ingame help and quest information is very good for allowing me to decide on where I should try to go next!
