How to activate Tooth of the Mouth?

How do I activate the Tooth of the Mouth's ability? It's a digger, and when I hit "use" it uses the digger as normal.

Um, what ability? It's just a digger that modifies some stats. The blight damage happens automatically in combat.

Oh, I see. So the text at the bottom which says "It can be used to cut trees, etc etc.. using 1 power of 1/1" just refers to digging? I still have to wait 13 turns? I thought it'd be done in 1. I've never used a digger yet.

Use it on a wall or tree or other such tile and it'll spend 13 turns digging through it. Obviously don't try this out when surrounded by enemies...
