If you have two attacks per round and your first attack shatters the iceblock, you seem to:
1. Suffer your own retaliation effects from attack one (because the iceblock is now gone)
2. Hit yourself directly for full damage with attack two
3. Suffer your own retaliation effects from attack two.
Ouch!
Two attacks per round + ice block = hit yourself painfully
