My first character to beat the ambush (Anorithil)

For the fourth time in all, I defeat the Master, and get to the ambush.
Contrary to the previous three times, this one was, I can't say anything else, an easy ride.
I started with popping a movement infusion, got in a comfy spot next to some archers, then I popped my 60% speed rune and fired away. They dropped like flies. I didn't get to see my health drop below 2/3, and didn't even need to pop my barrier a second time (I entered the level with barrier and providence already active) In a few turns, only a single archer and the Boss were left standing.
I thought I'd share my build.
Hymn of Moonlight + Corona is absolutely awesome. It drains energy at alarming rates, but the damage output is fantastic, thanks to lots and lots of criticals.

Good to hear I inspired you! Anorithil is really a nice class.

I had played quite a few Anorithils before, and I had always built them as a healing tank. As in, extra mastery point in the light tree, get gear to pump healing etc. All those previous characters failed miserably, none making it to the east, or even to Dreadfell.

So I thought, screw that, I'm gonna be making me a max damage build.
And yeah, it seems to work like a charm.

The savefile is now being reviewed by DG, as my energies got bugged bad in the East. But I must say, I was doing some Orc Pride with him, and even while severely crippled (my max positive and negative energy permanently decreased from 140+ to less than 60, meaning I have only 24 energy to spend when I put on my sustains, severely restricting damage output), the first 2 levels of that Pride felt as easy as the ambush did, bloodmages and the lever room's guards dropped dead within a few turns, and I cleared a vault with lev 50+ baddies there without breaking a sweat. This build is very powerful indeed.

EDIT: If I were to do this build again, I'd forgo the Glyphs altogether, and rather put that category point somewhere else. I use the Glyph of Repulsion every once in a while, but I could just as well do without.
I hope my save can get fixed, so I might finally be able to win a game for the first time :D

Restoring your positive and negative energy to the right amount through the console wouldn't be to hard martinuzz. I think DG wanted the save file mostly so he could figure out how the bug happened.

To fix it you'd want to disable all sustains, take your characters level -1 and multiply it by 3, then add 50 to it to get what your positive and negative energy should be at, take your current positive and negative energy values (minus any equipment that might be boosting it) and subtract them from the expected value to get the difference.

For example at level 20 the characters expected resource values are 107 (19 * 3 + 50). If the characters resources where at 60 then the difference would be 107 - 60 or 67.

Take that difference value into the lua console and type

game.player:incMaxPositive(difference)
game.player:incMaxNegative(difference)

or using our example above

game.player:incMaxPositive(67)

If you need more help then that I'm sure someone on IRC can lend a hand.
