I haven't played for about 10 versions, and just downloaded b30. I logged into my profile in game, and it says I have 0/23 character creations available. I know that's not the case - my profile page still lists my old unlocks.
How do I get them back? This is the same PC and I still have the old versions and everything else still installed if that helps.
Summary: My online profile seems out of sync in both directions, although it says I'm online when I started the program. The game doesn't recognize my unlocks, and the website doesn't list any of my new characters OR any new unlocks I get!

Try logging out of your profile in game, deleting your T-Engine folder [located in your C: drive if on windows] then restarting the engine [aka closing the window and relaunching], log back in, and you should be okay. At least, that's what's always worked for me.

Re: [b30] My unlocks aren't working anymore
Thank you for the suggestion, but that didn't help, I'm afraid.
It did reset all the options (eg screen resolution), but it still says 0/23 character creation options.
One other thing I noticed: Before deleting the t-engine folder, I replayed the tutorial, and it gave me an achievement named "Baby Steps"... and I just noticed it still isn't listed on my profile!
So there's definitely some sort of synchronization issue between my profile and the game.

I'm having essentially the same issue: http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=27072
No fix yet from what I've seen.
If I do a complete reinstall (deleting game folder and profile), but it didn't help beacuse then when I login I get no unlocks and am disconnected. I only have my current unlocks because of my local profile...

Ah, something changed nearly 10 betas ago. To quote from here:http://te4.org/blogs/darkgod/2011/03/ne ... -unleashedKarzon wrote:I haven't played for about 10 versions, and just downloaded b30. Hope this helps! Something else was changed between b29 and b30, but I'm not exactly sure what or if it's something to worry about. Please note: if you do not use an online profile the game will forget your achievements and unlocks. This can be fixed by renaming your home/T-Engine/4.0/profiles/default/ directory to home/T-Engine/4.0/profiles/offline/
Re: [b30] My unlocks aren't working anymore
Well, I did and DO use an online profile - like I said, my achievements are still listed on it on the website. Please note: if you do not use an online profile the game will forget your achievements and unlocks. This can be fixed by renaming your home/T-Engine/4.0/profiles/default/ directory to home/T-Engine/4.0/profiles/offline/
And how can I rename that folder when Final Master told me to delete it?
Nori: I'm not sure that's the same issue, because I am using the online profile and don't get any message about it swiching to the local one or anything like that on starting a new game. I could be overlooking it, but I remember that in earlier versions though...
I also noticed that when I start a game and go back to the main menu, it no longer shows that I'm logged in and gives a generic "Login failed!" if I try to - and then if I restart, it shows I'm logged in down in the corner again. I'm not sure if that's related or not.

When you relaunch the game, the T-Engine folder is remade in your C drive, so it's there again for you to go in and rename. :)

Re: [b30] My unlocks aren't working anymore
Not exactly. There's only an "online" folder and an "offline" folder in there now - but no folder named "default". I tried copying the contents of the online folder over the offline folder (since the online folder was the only one with files in it, the offline folder just had empty folders), and that didn't help either.Final Master wrote:When you relaunch the game, the T-Engine folder is remade in your C drive, so it's there again for you to go in and rename.
If it turns out I needed the old folder you told me to delete, I'll make you send me yours.

I think it's a different issue I'm having though, since that one was for people NOT using the online profile. Mine seems to be that my previous online profile isn't recognized or in sync with my game somehow - in either direction! None of the characters I've created lately to test this issue APPEAR on my online profile, either.
