b30 Black screen when hit by elven mage spell

I saw the spell and heard the crunching sound and screen turned black.
Went one step left and the screen came back again.

I'm experiencing this in the test version of b31. It only happens infrequently, and always in connection with projectiles of some sort. For me, it usually happens when I'm firing off arrows rather quickly. Usually I get a black flackering, sometimes the blackness stays, as Tom describes, until I move again.

Happened to me as well. Even saving the game at that point and restarting fixed the issue (so it's not a blindness thing.) Also, I've noted that some spells make the screen flash black briefly. This is very frequent in the Mark of the Spellblaze, with all those mages.

This happens to me as well, though since getting the latest reference drivers from nVidia it doesn't happen as often. Might try updating your video card drivers.

The Giggles... err, Epoch fight suffers from this black screen bug pretty badly. My arrows aint helping, but neither is its multiply ability. 4 Epochs = lots of TBTC projectiles/ashes to ashes clouds/dust to dust beams, etc. And not a whole lot of space to hide the projectiles and other such things from view, either.
