There are talent trees you can unlock for the archmage. though I am not sure if the register as "birth options"
Those who complain are just Volunteering to fix the problem

<yufra> every vault designer should ask themselves exactly that: What Would Grey Do?

Yeah, might be the 4 old classes that got merged into the archmage tree a few betas back. Or might be something that'll get added next beta or beta after. Lots of red herrings or unreleased stuff in the .lua files, just gotta know where to look.

rexorcorum wrote:One more dumb question - after switching to [b21] it seams that the cryo, pyro, etc. counters in the "world" file do not update anymore. Have they been transfered to the online account? "Ice" is my last locked build and I am rolling cold wyrmics like a loon :)
I'm wondering about this too. I've started poking into the various files just for fun and when I looked at my world file, it said I only have done 477.1232143321 fire damage with my archmage. Hmmmmm.... hopefully that is thousand ;) (I've done a lot more than 477, not sure how much though.)

Anyone dare go through and give the info on the new [and in some cases] old unlockables.

Just wanted to update the allow_build file that was uploaded. Pretty much everything as of beta30 is unlocked in this file. This is for those who just want to jump in and have everything ready to go. If your a purist don't download this. Also this should help you out Final Master.

Thank you very much Grimpickle, that is indeed helpful.

So, how many of you have all the unlocks legit like?

Four away. I'd probably have Corrupter/Ghoul by now if all of my games since b29 didn't end when my gold glitched out. Wildfire and Ice are going to be a long time in coming; I'm not a big fan of the classes ideal for unlocking those (nor am I a fan of the Archmage class in general). Mindslayer was, by far, the hardest unlock, and the only one I've had to 'grind' for.
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

Everything except pyro and cryo legit.

The former I accidentally unlocked while playtesting a spell in god mode :( The later I probably would have unlocked legit (two high level wyrmics, second one a winner) if the game hadn't reset it between the two characters (so I said screw it and manually unlocked it after the second wyrmic).

Technically I cheated the TW, PM, and Brawler unlocks (for obvious reasons) but I have legitimately done all those unlock quests.

One away legit... maybe two. Unlocked PM when PM unlock was buggy, but played through Daikara on TWs once or twice since and wasn't particularly in the mood to die. Everything else, all legit. (and I don't want to think how I'm going to get cryo unlocked legitimately without a very powerful alchy or wyrmic.)

Decided to finish with my unlocks in these days, and got Pyro, Corrupter, Poison and (like, a minute ago)Cryo.
With that...I have everything obtained legitimately, I think.
I *did* cheat ages ago(way before online profiles) but then I deleted the files and started from scratch.

Thank you so much for the file, Grimpickle. My old profile isn't working right so I had to start a new one, and I wouldn't have been able to stand unlocking stuff again. And I can always ignore the ones I didn't have until I do whatever to get them honestly. Maybe.

I am apparently completely unable to get Paradox Mages. Every time I've tried, my TW has died to something or other, other than myself. Every time. There have been numerous attempts.

I'm also short of Cryo points on each of the two systems on which I play. If I could add those points together, I'd have it, but each one separately is just over half way there.

Little bit of text editing and you could combine the two~

Yeah, the 'cheevo file is just zipped up, 7zip, etc. can unzip it if you rename it to a .zip file, then you can add the points from one system to the points on the other with notepad. TW legit is a bit twitchy thanks to RNG, but basically you just need two things: To survive Epoch, and to have nothing near you and future-you on the level. Should be brain-dead easy to unlock once you've gotten back from Epoch fight.

I was told you don't even have to fight Epoch. I was told that just letting your future self beat you is enough.

Every time I've made it that far, crappy monster AI has prevented my future self from being able to beat me himself. More recently, I haven't even been able to make it that far.
