No minataur boss!

#1 Post by Wombat »

I just completely cleared the bottom of the maze, and the boss minataur is nowhere to be found. I'm running on OSX 10.6.

this is B29...

Duh... How did I miss him? I searched the level 3 times. I guess I need a vacation

Very easy to miss things in here - if you've explored every passageway surrounding a single, other passageway, from what you see, it looks like you explored everywhere even when you haven't.
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?

Yeah. I really hate the maze. I usually rush through the first four levels, then "carefully" search the fifth. Why I kept missing that particular corner though... Oh well

Maybe the boss should immediately know your location on level 5? Then he'll always be hunting you down. Turns tedium into fright!

Only if the maze is changed to have loops. Otherwise you'd have the same issue that the Sandworm Queen fight currently has (forced to stair-dance, unless you want to teleport and makes things harder for yourself).
Sorry about all the parentheses (sometimes I like to clarify things).

I've never stair-danced with the sand-queen... And meeting the Minotaur as he hunts you is pretty much the same as meeting him during normal exploration, except you'll spend a little less time exploring the level.

I agree with Grey... sand-queen to me has always been a pushover so long as I can reach her with my attacks, if I die in there it's to her summons, after she died. (Maybe I shoulda tried to keep that corrosive tunneller alive a little while longer, eh?) ... and even that doesn't happen too much, mostly because the gravity worms end up providing excellent crowd control for me as well as themselves.

Yeah, perhaps I should clarify. Right now I just stand on the stairs and wait for the Sandworm Queen, since I know she will find me. She's much less dangerous than the level itself; between the tunneling and all the summons I try to choose my own ground, and the stairs/starting room are the most natural choice.

Ditto. Last time I fought her though, I had to go searching for some odd reason.

I also had a similar problem. He can be very difficult to find.
