Another possibility would be to have base damage/accuracy depend on the bow, with the arrows only providing 'bonuses' - extra damage of varying kinds, flight speed, crit, accuracy, etc.

Allowing ammo to be switched instantly is logical enough, though it may lead to micromanaging as lukep says. However, it's nothing that Temporal Wardens aren't able to do with Celerity right now.

I don't like the idea of Instant arrow switching.

It takes a turn to switch weapons. Only if you have Celerity (time warden talent) can you switch weapons instantaneously. I would suggest that arrow switching takes a turn and that Celerity allows for instant arrow switching as well.

This assumes you are going to use arrows.

what about making the arrows not a stack but a single item? it will be equipped and as long as it is in the quiver you shoot that type, without consuming nothing. I don't get why archers have to enjoy only temporary the founding of a powerful item, before consuming the stack.
