Hello.
In Dreadfell I hope to find Vaults.
Lot of Vaults to gain exp.
One Vault I ran into started with a big room.
The big room was empty but a few runes on the ground.
Alas, the room was filled with traps.
Some quite potent traps too.
Roughly 2/3 into the room I see an archer in a corridor.
I assume he will pinn me the next move if I give him the chance, which I do not.
*Teleport*
When I run back to the vault I am greeted by a lot of *freezing* other texts when the monsters step into the traps.
And a lot of them, perhaps even a majority of them, die!! *grumble*
There went my xp down the drains.

Re: Sad vault in Dreadfell
One more thing that perhaps fit more in the Ideas part.
When I realised I was in a trap filled room I instinctly started to (s)earch.
The search command doesnt excist in ToME.
Why not?
IMO it fits among a skillful rogues arsenal of possibilities.

Rogues auto-search with each step if they have trap-detection. I'm sure sure if just standing on the spot searches though.

Granted, the detection power scales with your cunning, so a fighter isn't gonna have much in the way of this. Heh.
