Online Profile Problems

I am having some problems with the online profile, I have been using TOME on one machine with no issues, and tried to install it on a second machine. On the second machine I log into my online profile no problem, but none of my unlocks are available. Additionally, no character I create on the new machine shows up in my character list on the website. I poked around in the logs but didn't see any obvious error messages so I have no idea why my profile isn't being pulled down.

Characters are not copied, they are too big.

As for the rest, can you try to log on #tome on irc.rizon.net please and if you can catch me we'll debug it realtime

When you install the game, you need to connect twice before having your online profile connected.

Thanks for the idea PowerWyrm, I had already seen that posted and tried to connect more then once to no avail.

I wasn't actually expecting my character to be copied Darkgod, my expectation was that a character I created would show up on the online profile, not the save game itself.

I will hop on IRC when I get a chance, thanks for the offer of help.

another possible source of this would be that the game may think it is a bad game version and so it doesnt create the online stuff.

I have had this for a while on my new comp, whereas it worked fine on my old computer, so I am not sure what is causing it to be messed up.

There is a message that appears, but I have not always seen it show.

Playing b28 I have seen various issues. Some covered here:

So to resolve those issues, I deleted my entire /users/me/t-engine folder and seemed to all be working OK.

Another specific problem I noticed since then is that none of my b28 characters are updated when they died. All these 3 are now dead.

There was another dead character 3 (Yardley the Yeek Alchemist) who is not online at all. Got to anout level 3 or 4, died in the Yeek Tunnels. If its significant, I think he died in the one session i.e. didn't get to CTRL-X before he died.

Also, I am getting just a white strip in the bottom corner of the menu screen when it used to say "Logged in as budswell". Sometimes (but not always) get a white strip in the "Saving" alert that pops up when you change zones in game.

I've had the same problems. Unlocks deleted from my account when using different computers, and lots of characters either not registering at all, or not registering up to date. I've no idea why.

Just upgraded to b29. Still happenning. My new b29 character does not appear online. The title menu says I'm logged in, and the messages says I "joined", but my latest char does not appear online. Have save and quit, reloaded, exitted to world map.

On b30 none of my chars are apearing online. Logged out and in. Also remove teh t-engine settings folder. Nothing seemed to help.

Edit: OK, have done some playing around, and it seems to be specific to my profile account. If I create a new http://www.te4.org user (bud) and connect the game to that profile characters are saved, it works. But using my original (budswell) account the b30 characters are not appearing online. Have tried changing my password, deleting local files, even running (slowly) with a fresh set up on a VM. Nothing is sticking for the budswell account.

Probably why I seem to be the only one with this issue at the moment. Does this make sense at all? Or am I on drugs or something?

OK, now thats wierd. My current character has two entries in the character list.

And even the more "current" one is well behind. Since the last messages of the profile I have done the "Assassin Trapdoor quest", gone to the elven town in the southwest, and am currently on the 2nd level of the neaby elven dungeon. Think it may soon be time to abandon this profile and start all over again.

I get these problems all the time in b30. Some characters appear, others don't. My best character ever, my shalore corruptor, I'm still running, but never is she on the vault.

I can't get my characters to appear in the vault either.

It's a real pain, as I want confirmed, cheat-free wins!

What's especially annoying is how there's little detectable warning (or is there? I can't even remember what a safe, clean, registration looks like).

Ever since the second beta that I've downloaded, I've been unable to login or create an online account. I've done the firewall/network checks and everything seems in order there, but I instantly get the failed message every time I try to login or create an account. Help...
