b28 Odd skeleton archer bug

#1 Post by Tom »

Hello.

Im in Old Forest.
In a starting corridor, I think it is lvl 2 in OF, I have 2 white worm mass in front of me.
Im shooting simple shots, with no ammo wielded, using Corpsebow.

The oddity is that every shot I see in purple that the front worm mass dies.
But immidiately a new worm mass is spawned at the same place.
And I do not get any xp.
I have killed maybe 50 worm mass and not a single % raise in xp for a lvl 14 character.

Not sure how to proceed here.
When I step forward and whack them with my bow, the same thing happens.

Have you checked the tooltip on the worms to see what their HP is? Happen to be negative...?

Otherwise it could be something odd with the damagetype projected by the Corpsebow. In the interests of advancement you might want to temporarily switch weapons.

Ah, that old problem :( Only solution for you is to find a way to dig around them.

Another of theese spawning things multiplied with negative value.
This time a white ooze in The Maze.

Could one guess that Corpsebow's special is at fault for this?

I assure you it isn't Corpsebow's fault. It's not your race or your class, either. I've run into this bug many, many times with characters of various races and classes that did not have Corpsebow. But every time I do see this bug, it's an enemy that is either summoned by another enemy (undead, drakelings), or that split from another enemy (like worms, jellies, etc.).

I belive you.
I dropped the Corpebow for another bow.
A skeleton in Dreadfell did the same which supports your belife that it might be summoned creatures.
This skeleton showed up with a biggie. I belive emperor wight, but Im not sure.
