Imbue item

#1 Post by PowerWyrm »

It would be nice to be able to choose worn equipment... or at least not waste mana/talent use if nothing can be imbued in the inventory.

i would like to be able to imbue more than just the main armor. gloves, boots, helms, even weapons would be nice.

Imbuing extra items would just get crazy over-powered. Imagine +5 to all stats on every armour piece, or +10% resist all on each equipment item.

I like the idea of being able to imbue worn armour though - would save on a little frustration.

It could be little complex but - how about make all non-cloth armor have random number of sockets - maximum available imbue slots? Most of non-body armor will have zero with maximum 1, normal body armor - maximum 1, purple/blue body armor - maximum 2. Artifacts could have any number.

I would imagine slots exactly the opposite. 2, maybe more on white, and 1 or less on purple, don't know about randarts and truearts though.. This would balance the power, and could be explained by the item's enchantability (?) already being used by their egos.

this is argument i dont quite understand.. currently player can equip 6 kinds of armor:
- Main body
- Waist
- Gloves
- Head
- Foot
- Cloak

what if there was no +5 all stats gem and instead +3 to [stat] ? instead of +10% all resist like +2%? its not hard to balance it this way and it would allow player for more customization. For now cost of 'imbue item' is quite high and you use it 3? 4? times in whole gameplay.

I like the idea of imbuing more items, make that skill more worthwhile and desirable. Obviously the gems would need to be changed quite a bit, maybe they all provide different types of resists or something like that, or specific stat increases.
