[bxx - b27] 'Framebuffers' option graphical glitches

#1 Post by Izowiuz »

When the Framebuffers option is enabled game gets unplayable. Game window is stretched, doesn't center itself properly and hovering mouse cursor over things shows me tips about them in their improper locations.

My apologies for windowed screenshots but sine b27 I'm not able to set the fullscreen mode ;p
Nevertheless, corruption of the 'game part' of the screen is identical in both.

After disabling it everything runs fine but some minor bitmaps are missing. Like the miniatures of the characters under the map.

Also, regardless of that option being enabled or in state of 'go to Hell', every time I try to change resolution this happens:

I'm able to navigate through the menus and load the game, but I'm greeted by the 'Realm of Acid Overdose':

I'm running WinXP SP3 on AMD Athlon X2 64 with RADEON x1800xt and 2 GB of RAM.
Also, I'm not forcing any graphical option through the 'Catalyst Control Center' [AA/AF etc.]

On a side note, game stars and loads levels much longer with that option enabled, and I need to kill the process from the Task Manager to shut it down.

Axes High!

EDIT:

If I disable OpenGl Shaders but leave Framebuffers on, game runs fine and missing bitmaps are visible. Further investigation will be needed ;P I will try to mess with oGL settings of my GPU.
