Comparing weapons

#1 Post by Swiler Bob »

I realize that people have posted the formulas for weapon damage, but for a dwarf berserker with maximum strength and and emphasis on crit gear, which of the following is better?

Warmaster Narg's Murderblade (54-86.4, 19 apr)
54 power [range 1.60], 19 armour penetration, crit 4%.
When worn:
5 str, 5 dex, 5 con, increase talent masteries: Two handed weapons, .20, Two handed maiming, .20
See invisible: 25

or

quick voratun great maul of ruin (67-100.5, 4 apr)
67 power [range 1.50] 4 armour penetration, crit 3%.
When worn:
Attack 7, armour penetration 6, physical crit 6%,
6 str, 6 dex, 4 cunning.
Increase critical damage modifier: +13.00%
Physical crit 6%

Thanks in advance.

The latter...if my understanding is correct the latter provide up to 9% extra chance for crit without including the cun increase, higher damage, better stat increase...yeah...

It might not be too bad if you keep the former to deal with high armor enemies though...
Why can't TOME 4 has a secret room where you can represent game bugs as, well, enemies you can crush like in Divine Divinity? That would be cool...

Thanks, I wasn't sure what the 19 apr did vs the 4 apr.

APR (armor penetration) cancels out some of the defender's armor. In the late game, it's dwarfed by the sheer power of weapon attacks, so you can mostly ignore it then.
