So I've gotten my stealth efficiency on my shadowblade up to 26 (1.5 mastery (common human), 5/5 stealth, max cunning for lvl 11), and *everything* seems to notice me.
So do I just need to keep improving cunning, am I doing something wrong, or is it not currently feasible to remain in stealth mode?
Is stealth currently working?

Re: Is stealth currently working?
I've started a rogue a few days ago, I've got a "Someone noticed you" (or similar) message twice, and after that it didn't seem to work at all.

We should move the thread to spoilers to properly explain.
Stealthed players gain bonusses, even if they are seen I believe. They are still harder to hit (defense bonus) and just need to break los to lose their opponents. Attacking obviously breaks this.
Tiger_eye played a rogue winner, and I believe he used stealth extensively.

I don't think this occurs.Canderel wrote:... and just need to break los to lose their opponents.
<DarkGod> lets say it's intended

Very much so! Stealth actually made the orc worldmap encounters in the Far East rather easy. With a different rogue (while play-testing svn), I managed to beat the orc ambush by relying solely on stealth (and a bit of luck). Sure, many enemies will notice you on occasion or get a lucky hit in, but most enemies will also not see you on occasion, and the defense bonus while stealthed is quite nice.Canderel wrote:Tiger_eye played a rogue winner, and I believe he used stealth extensively.
Here is my character if you're curious, and, no, my offhand weapon damage is not a bug or a mistake!
