Lost unlockable in new version

#1 Post by SerPounce »

I just downloaded beta25 after not having played for a while (I think update 15 or 16 was the last one I played but I'm not sure), and it looks great, but I appear to have lost all my unlockables. I had unlocked 2 races and, iirc, 4 classes :(

I still have my old "T-Engine" folder which I thought saved that stuff even though I deleted the game folder with the exe.

Is there any way I can get this stuff back?

I'm not sure which directory you'll need to copy but in your T-Engine/4.0/profiles directory look inside the default and/or dev directories. Which ever one seems to have the more up to date achievements (modules/tome, also look at the allow_build.profile and it should have your unlocks) copy the entire contents of the folder into the profiles/offline folder.

Also, Cryomancer, Pyromancer, Tempest, and Geomancer were made talent trees for the Archmage, so if you had any of those classes unlocked, they're now talent trees for the Archmage. The site seems to do a reasonably good job of keeping track of even old unlocks, so maybe you could try logging in from within the game, and see if it updates what you've unlocked?
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?

Great that worked! Thank you.

No, I unlocked most of the stuff before that stuff was in. I have skelly, ghoul, archmage, summoner, wyrimic, sun pally, and the sun/mooon mage. I think that was everything at that point, but I'm sure there's all sorts of fun new stuff now :)

Yeah! Like the <redacted due to General Forums>, <redacted due to General Forums>, and the <redacted due to General Forums>. Hm. Come to think of it, shouldn't have said as much as I did in my earlier post, but yeah. Some really nice things to unlock, though I think I like the sun/moon mage best, followed by one of those redacted things I just said. There's lots to find!
