(b24) Z Aggravating Subject Z

#1 Post by Hedrachi »

Got another Yeek Mindslayer finally off the start island, only to find that Subject Z is unkillable on even Adventurer difficulty with a Yeek Mindslayer. Z's Infusion: Movement is an instant "I-WIN!" button: He uses it, stabs my kinetic shield/spiked kinetic shield (tried both, neither worked) out of existence, I die, go to Eidy, rest off my cooldowns, come back, he doesn't have Infusion Saturation anymore, but he does have Wild Speed and Free Action, probably at the same state that he had when I died, maybe at next turn after that. Can't use Thermal Leech or Kinetic Leech thanks to Free Action, spiked Kinetic Aura will knock him back some and turn off his Wild Speed, but next turn he hits his I-WIN button and sends me back to Eidy.

Edit - TL;DR: When you get sent to Eidolon on death, and come back, all buffs on what killed you remain no matter how long you spent at Eidolon, and all debuffs are gone. So, anything that killed you with a movement infusion active, will still be immune to stuns, pinning, and slowing on resurrection, and can simply re-activate their movement infusion if you use a knockback on them. Think I also remembered seeing Weirdling Beast have a few turns left on his regen infusion after dying to him a while back.
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?

I've already complained that Halfling Ruins is too difficult for yeeks leaving the Island, however that is partly caused by lack of a starter yeek town with merchants, so we'll have to wait for Yeektown to judge this.

Hm. Maybe with extra armor, this situation'd be a little more manageable. But um, heh. I had an elemental iron longsword physically wielded and Bill's Tree Trunk psi-wielded, wasn't lacking for ability to output damage, just had 0 survivability because Z was perma-unstunnable/unfreezable/unslowable because of how monster buffs stay while debuffs don't when you die.

Halfling Ruins aren't too bad if you can kill Subject Z... some of the enemies in vaults have caused me trouble but I brought that upon myself when I opened the vault.
