Looking for Mindslayer Advice

#1 Post by Jack Trades »

Hello,
I've been playing Mindslayer a lot lately and I like that class a lot.
I'm kind of bad with it so I'm asking for some tips and advice on how to play it.
Thanks.

I haven't played one up to late game yet, but from what i can tell so far the best early strategy is focusing on the auras, kinetic shield and the voracity talents. Spike auras and shields as needed, recharge with leech and run away whenever you have too much stuff on cooldown.

When you reach the 20s or so you'll come to a point where you can focus on a close range or a spike oriented build, but that's personal preference as both of them can be quite effective as far as I know... just try to really focus your talents: 1/5 on everything doesn't really work for mindslayers, unlike some other classes.

Don't be afraid to put points into Conduit. If you got 5/5 all three auras, you can jam two of em into conduit and then run the third normally. With Finer Energy Manipulations you can make already awesome gear even better (and cut down on energy drain from having that third aura up), Augmented Mobility will give you some interesting escape options if you choose that. With Augmentation, you only need to focus on Willpower, Cunning, and Constitution. (I played a close-range build, it rocked until I decided I could take on an orc patrol in the Far East at level 32, haha.) I also had the benefit of having a crystalline voratun battleaxe, Genocide, and The Truth as choices for my weapons, so like most melee builds, close-range mindslayers are kinda... very gear dependent.
Having satellite internet is a lot like relying on the processes described in those RFC's for your internet. Except, instead of needing to worry about statues interrupting your connection, this time you worry about the weather. I have satellite internet. Fun, no?
