Character Builder Template

#1 Post by Final Master »

I have recently designed a clean and easy to use and edit character building template of sorts. It's free to download in multiple formats and is small.

It is located here - https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key ... l=en#gid=0

Anyone may use this, and if you have any suggestions, let me know and I'll put them in.

Enjoy, and I hope it helps some.

I haven't used it. It looks to me like alot more of a record than a planning template because of how precise it is. If it was used as I think it could be, then players would record how they built their characters, then share it as an extremely compressed DitL. This could then be used by players to guide their own attempts.

In order for this to be a record (instead of a template) it would need escort rewards as well as sandworm heart/wyrm bile results.

Sorry if I'm going against your intention with this post, but that's how I see it being most used/useful.

How much of this is stored, or could be stored, in the logs or save files? Would be cool to have a java program or something that could take the character data and generate this automatically. (I asked about having this built into te4.org in the Ideas forum but having an application that produces something that could be pasted into forum posts might be even better since offline characters could use it as well).

edit- I would be more likely to use this with OTHER peoples successful characters than my own, but that's just because I'm not very good at this game. :)

My thoughts exactly (although I wish I had thought of automated recording, that's a good one.)
