Unlocks?
Since there are a lot of unlocks these days, it seemed like it might be nice to at least have a thread of where people should start looking - not so much a blow-by-blow as a "I want to unlock this class. How do I start?
Ones that I know:
- Summoners: It'll happen pretty quickly. Don't worry about it.
- Cursed: walk around in the overland map near Last Hope until you find a desperate woodsman. Do the obvious things.
- Yeeks: end of the Halfling ruins
- Mindslayers: get far enough playing as a Yeek
- Reavers: Kill a whole mess of people (across all characters you've played)
- Temporal Wardens: Fully map Daikara. Enter at the obvious place. (Warning: don't go back in after you get out. It's buggy.)
- Corrupters: walk around outside of the weird, scorched area on the map west of Last Hope until a stairway to the spellblaze shows up. Go in and do stuff there.
- Skeletons/Ghouls: Follow the main quest line far enough. For the other undead race, do it again with a different character
- Anorithil: follow the main quest line a bit farther than that.
- Sun Paladins: follow the main quest line a bit farther than *that*.
- Archmages: walk around the overland map west of derth until you find a pitiable apprentice. Do the obvious things.
- Cryomancers: use ice a lot (across all characters you've played)
- Pyromancers: use fire a lot (across all characters you've played)
- Tempest Magic: Return to Derth around level 15 or so. Do the obvious things.
- Geomancy: defeat a certain randomly appearing unique monster
- Arena: talk to the shady Cornac in Derth.
- Infinite Dungeon: Walk around the overland map until you find the ancient dungeon. Finish it.
Ones I wish I knew:
- Doomed
Also, in a side question, how does one get into Sher'Tul? I have the key (found in the Old Forest). I've walked around the obvious spot. I've even searched the towns for someone to talk with. I'm getting nothing. Is there some sort of upper level limit on it?

In keeping with the vagueness of the thread: Walk around the last level of the Old Forest. Enter the obvious spot. Go for a swim.Sirrocco wrote: Also, in a side question, how does one get into Sher'Tul? I have the key (found in the Old Forest). I've walked around the obvious spot. <DarkGod> lets say it's intended
Re: Unlocks?
Excellent. Just what I was looking for. Thank you, yufra.
Re: Unlocks?
Doomed: you must kill your own shade who is hiding in the far east.
Corruptor: you must ally with the corruptors. There is probably some corruptors in areas where marks of spellblaze is still visible.

Re: Unlocks?
Corrupter is the only one I'm fuzzy on how to get (the only other one I'm missing is cryo, but that's just a matter of time). Is there some restriction on class or timing? I've been to the spellblaze, died once or twice, killed everything, and don't recall getting any dialogs or options. I was playing as an anorithil, btw.
Re: Unlocks?
I've heard there is a limitation based on who you are. I'd suspect that people who've gotten antimagic wouldn't be able to. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it was limited to some subset of archmages, alchemists, shadowblades and arcane blades.
It triggers, if it triggers, when you reduce the unique down to some fraction of his life, so it can be missed by dealing too much damage at once as well.

Re: Unlocks?
Hmmm...I eventually killed him while on the demon plane thing. Could that have had an impact? Or if it's one of those messages that pops up across the top of the screen (rather than a dialog box) I probably missed it. I always end up missing those, for some reason.
Re: Unlocks?
I got the Fall of Zigur quest as an Anorithil (sp? the light/dark mage). But unfortunately the grand corruptor ran into my shadow blast and turned against me. So I had to kill him too, so no achievement for me.
Edit: Actually, it might have been a twilight surge, I never quite got a handle on its radius, and pissed off a few friendlies with it.

Re: Unlocks?
My Corruptor unlock was done with an Anorithil, several betas ago.
Re: Unlocks?
b20 now says 20 unlocks in character creation, rather than 17... but it doesn't mention anything. Was the count wrong before or is there something new?
Re: Unlocks?
Heh, I finally made it through the Mark of the Spellblaze with my Anorithil, but unfortunately I didn't know I was supposed to actually Side with him.. so I beat him up instead. I'll have to try again for that unlock..
Re: Unlocks?
No it's just the count of b19 that was wrongKarzon wrote:b20 now says 20 unlocks in character creation, rather than 17... but it doesn't mention anything. Was the count wrong before or is there something new?

[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD

Re: Unlocks?
Does anyone know how to get runic golem?
Re: Unlocks?
you can't unlock in game yet. I believe the "emancipation" achievement will do it in the future. To do that you need to kill a boss with the golem while the alchemist is dead
Those who complain are just Volunteering to fix the problem
